Where the artwork carries a seal reading Made in an FDA Registered Facility, that is a statement about a factory being listed on a database. It is not an inspection result and it is not approval of this product.

Gelagen is a vitamin and mineral gummy sold for skin, hair and nails. It is not a treatment for acne, eczema, psoriasis, alopecia or any other diagnosed condition, and starting it is never a reason to stop or delay something that was prescribed.

Nothing here is medical advice. Gelagen is for healthy adults aged 18 and over, and not for anyone who is pregnant or nursing. Anyone taking a prescription medicine or living with a diagnosed condition should raise the panel with a clinician before starting it, and the bottle prints every amount, which makes that a short conversation.

Gelagen itself has never been the subject of a published clinical trial. The research cited on this website is about the individual nutrients on its panel, studied on their own and usually at their own amounts.

That is a smaller claim than a trial of the finished gummy would support, and it is stated here rather than implied, so that no citation on any page is read as evidence about the product as a whole.

1. Fast or patchy hair loss. Hair that comes out in clumps or leaves bald patches can point to alopecia areata, thyroid disease, iron deficiency or other causes a doctor can test for (NIAMS; MedlinePlus).
2. Changing nails. A dark band, a nail that lifts, pits, crumbles or thickens deserves a look from a clinician (MedlinePlus: nail diseases).
3. Skin that will not settle. A rash, patches that scale or a mole that changes are for a doctor or dermatologist, not for a gummy (MedlinePlus: skin conditions).
4. Thyroid treatment. Two gummies add 42 mcg of iodine a day, and biotin can distort thyroid blood tests, so the clinician who manages your thyroid should see the label first (NIH iodine fact sheet).
5. Upcoming bloodwork. 5,000 mcg of biotin a day can make some immunoassays read falsely high or low, troponin included; tell the lab before the sample is taken (FDA).
6. Pregnancy or breastfeeding. Gelagen is not offered for either. Its 630 mcg of vitamin A per serving is preformed retinyl acetate, which has a daily upper limit (NIH vitamin A fact sheet).
7. Other medicines or supplements. Show the panel to a pharmacist, above all if another product already supplies biotin, vitamin A or iodine (MedlinePlus: dietary supplements).
