The labelGelagen Supplement Facts: Reading The 13-Line Panel In Three Tiers
A 13-line panel is easier to read when you sort it. Sort it by the last column, the share of a day, and the panel falls into three tiers. This is a way to read the Gelagen label without getting lost.
The Gelagen label prints 13 vitamins and minerals per two-gummy serving, each with an amount. Five sit above a full day's value, led by biotin at 5,000 mcg. Six sit below a day. Choline and inositol are tiny formulation amounts. The panel contains no collagen.

What are the 13 lines of the Gelagen label?
Here is the full panel, in the form the label prints, with the share of a day beside each row. That last column is our arithmetic, set against the published Daily Value for an adult.
| Ingredient and form | Amount | Share of a day |
|---|---|---|
| Vitamin A, as retinyl acetate | 630 mcg | 70% |
| Vitamin C, as ascorbic acid | 20 mg | 22% |
| Vitamin D, as cholecalciferol | 10 mcg | 50% |
| Vitamin E, as d-alpha tocopheryl acetate | 7.4 mg | 49% |
| Vitamin B6, as pyridoxine HCl | 2 mg | 118% |
| Folate | 442 mcg DFE | 110% |
| Vitamin B12, as methylcobalamin | 6 mcg | 250% |
| Biotin | 5,000 mcg | 16,667% |
| Pantothenic acid | 5.2 mg | 104% |
| Choline | 0.04 mg | 0.007% |
| Iodine | 42 mcg | 28% |
| Zinc | 2.7 mg | 25% |
| Inositol | 40 mcg | No Daily Value exists |
The front of the bottle reads Advanced Gummies for Skin Health. The seller names skin radiance and firmness, hair and nails. Those are the seller's claims, and no trial of this product or of this 13-nutrient combination exists.
- 13 ingredients, every one with a printed amount. No proprietary blend.
- Every figure is per two-gummy serving, the whole daily dose. The amount in one gummy is not published.
- Over a day: biotin, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, folate and pantothenic acid.
- Under a day: vitamins C, D, E and A, iodine and zinc.
- Formulation amounts: choline 0.04 mg and inositol 40 mcg.
- The share-of-a-day column is arithmetic against published Daily Values, not a figure the label prints.
Which five amounts are above a full day?
Tier one is the top of the table. Biotin is first by a long way. An adult is judged to need 30 mcg a day, so 5,000 mcg is about 167 times that. No upper limit has been set for biotin. Vitamin B12 is 250%, folate is 110%, vitamin B6 is 118% and pantothenic acid is 104%.
Biotin's evidence has two halves. Where someone is short of it, a shortfall can cause hair loss and brittle nails, and correcting it helps. In people who are not short, the record is thin, and the brittle-nail studies the NIH cites had no placebo group.
One more fact belongs with biotin. At supplement amounts it can interfere with some blood tests. The published human work starts at 10 mg a day, and this label prints 5 mg, so nobody has tested this amount. The useful habit is to tell whoever takes your blood that you take a biotin supplement.
Which six amounts sit below a full day?
Tier two is the middle. These are real amounts, just smaller than a day's value. Vitamin C is 22%, zinc is 25%, iodine is 28%, vitamin E is 49%, vitamin D is 50% and vitamin A is 70%.
- Vitamin C, 20 mg. The body needs vitamin C to build its own collagen. That is the nearest true statement to the brand name.
- Vitamin A, 630 mcg. It is retinyl acetate, a preformed vitamin A. The 3,000 mcg daily upper limit applies to the preformed kind, so this counts in full. It is the reason the gummy is not for anyone who is pregnant or nursing.
- Iodine, 42 mcg. No warning about the amount is needed for most adults. People with autoimmune thyroid disease can be affected by amounts that are safe for others, so they should ask their doctor.
- Zinc, vitamin D and vitamin E. Everyday amounts, below a full day.

What are the two tiny formulation lines?
Tier three has two rows. Choline is 0.04 mg against a Daily Value of 550 mg, which is 0.007% of a day. Inositol is 40 mcg, and no Daily Value exists for it.
Read these two as part of the formulation, not as the reason to buy. The label prints them honestly, and so should any article about it.
Why is every amount tied to two gummies?
Every figure is for two gummies together, which is the whole daily dose. You cannot halve a figure to get the amount in one gummy. That amount is not published.
This also means you should not double the serving to make up for a missed day. The panel describes two gummies a day, and that is what every percentage is built on.
The other ingredients line, such as what gives the gummy its shape and taste, is not published in the sources used here. Read it on the bottle you receive, especially if you avoid certain ingredients.
Where do these facts come from?
The amounts come from the printed Supplement Facts panel. Each reference intake and upper limit comes from the NIH fact sheet for that nutrient, and the biotin test notes come from the FDA and the JAMA paper below.

Frequently asked questions
What are the ingredients in Gelagen?
Thirteen vitamins and minerals: vitamins A, C, D, E, B6 and B12, folate, biotin, pantothenic acid, choline, iodine, zinc and inositol, each with an amount printed on the label.
What is the biggest amount in Gelagen?
Biotin at 5,000 mcg per two-gummy serving, about 167 times the 30 mcg an adult is judged to need in a day.
Does Gelagen contain collagen?
No. The panel contains none. It does contain vitamin C at 20 mg, which the body needs to build its own collagen.
Is there a proprietary blend in Gelagen?
No. Every one of the 13 ingredients has its own printed amount.
How many amounts are above 100% of a day?
Five: biotin, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, folate and pantothenic acid. Six are below, and choline and inositol are tiny formulation amounts.
Is the amount per gummy published?
No. Every figure is per two-gummy serving, and the amount in one gummy is not published.
Our view
Sorted into tiers, the panel tells a clear story. One very large figure, four more above a day, six everyday amounts and two that barely register. That is a top-up across a range, with biotin at the centre.
We value that every amount is printed. We would not call it proof of anything, because no trial of the finished gummy exists. If you take medicine, have a thyroid condition or have blood tests coming, show the label to a doctor first. Gelagen is a dietary supplement and is not FDA approved.
